Who can apply

One of the questions we hear most in Kozhikode and Kochi is: “Can I study nursing in the UK without a nursing background?” For this programme, the answer is yes. It is designed for graduates who want to move into healthcare and qualify as a registered nurse.

  • Academic: a bachelor’s degree in any subject with at least 55% marks.
  • Experience: at least six months in a healthcare or social care role, such as a hospital, care home or home care.
  • English: the university’s English requirement, which we will confirm for your profile.

What the programme includes

On completing an NMC-approved pre-registration programme, you can apply to join the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register and receive your PIN, the licence UK employers ask for. With the UK’s ongoing demand for registered nurses, qualified graduates are well placed for Band 5 roles in the NHS and private healthcare.

A note on “job guarantee”: no university can promise you a job. What this route gives you is a recognised UK qualification, real placement experience and eligibility to register, which together put you in a strong position with employers.
